Loyal servant or archetypal trickster? Arlecchino can be both in the 16th-century Italian form of drama known as Commedia Dell’ Arte. The history of what is more commonly known as Harlequin spans back to carnival performers of the Middle Ages. “When Arlecchino appeared in France in the comédie Italiènne, he became known as Arlequin. Due to the level of expression required for Commedia Dell’ Arte masks, they take more dexterity to assemble than many of our animal masks. For younger children, our Woodland or Jungle Animal Sets work great.

    How do I download and print the mask?

    After purchase, click the download link in the confirmation email to save the PDF to your computer. Then open it in a PDF reader (e.g., Adobe Reader) and print on paper or card of your choice (A4 or US Letter Paper).     What materials do I need to build the mask?

    You’ll need a home printer, A4 or US Letter paper, card (approx. 300 gsm cardboard is recommended), scissors or a craft knife, and tape or glue. No special skills are required; the template is designed to be easy and fun to assemble.
    Will the mask fit an adult or a child?

    Masks are scaled to fit an average adult head, but you can scale the print down (e.g., ~85–90%) to make versions that fit children. You may need to experiment based on head size.

    Awesome horn skull mask - worth the work!

    We made this mask for Halloween for my oldest son, and attached el-wire. It looked so great, and he got so many compliments. The horns were a bit tricky. We painted them with primer and then acrylic paint, and it looked awesome. I'm kind of addicted to making these masks now!

    What a great resource

    This mask was a lifesaver. It's Book Week, and your child wants to go as a dragon. I was already imagining trying to bend a bunch of papier-mache to my will when I came across this site. Not technically difficult, if you can use scissors and sticky tape, and you've got a little time up your sleeve, you can get a good result.

    Having tried several different vendors for this type of project, Wintercroft is THE BEST. They are well designed, user-friendly, and just spectacular when finished.
