Grelin - The Bowman of Destiny

3 reviews

The tale of Grelin has twisted off the tongues of elders throughout the ages. As an ever-present and inescapable manifestation of fate, Grelin administers curses with his flaming white arrows of destiny. The commands of Grelin cannot be questioned, bartered against or avoided. Once struck with by an arrow, your path is set.

The Flaming Curses of Grelin

In defiance of his own destiny, Grelin fell in love with a mortal woman. Unable to accept the absolute certainty of her death, he forged a ring from the head of an arrow and with it gave her the ability to live outside the laws of fate.

Furious at Grelin’s misuse of power and his association with a mortal, Parlow and Mawlog stole Grelin’s wife. Mawlog slayed the women and Parlow cast the ring into the city of the mortals. In a white-hot fury, Grelin turned on Mawlog and the cursed arrows flew, carrying with them the terrible fate of Mawlog. Seeing Grelin’s anger and power, Parlow fled and hid in the homes of the mortals, forever in search of the ring that he stole.

This was of the 3 masks i made so far the hardest. Definitely not for beginners. Also difficult to see what it looks like if u use other colours than the ones proposed by Wintercroft. It also takes a long time, just cutting out all pieces was timeconsuming (or i need better tools! Haha)... the mouth area was hard to assemble and needs u to be very precise. Overall i had to make modifications myself, which was due to shiny paper I used and the reflections made it look rather weird. As I said better keep to the original designcolour proposition. Ultimately a nice mask again, but dont use this as your first mask u wanna make!
