Awakener - The Dragon Skull

1 review

Josephine saw it there on the merchant’s table and all the noise from the bustling comic con market seemed to filter into muted murmur. The Dragon Skull glared at her from the tat-littered table, occupying its space as a tyrannical overlord amongst the plastic bodies of long-dead franchises strewn about the display. She felt the pull of the relic and the rising tension of inevitability. It was all the money she had brought, but destiny does not come without a price.

She tucked it under her jacket, holding the skull by the horn as she walked home under a grey sky that burgeoned on black. On reaching the park, unable to wait any longer, she placed the skull on her head and it fit like a part of her that was missing before. In that moment, suspended in time, she felt like the hero she was born to be, until the lightning bolted to the horns and all went black. Continued below...

  • This Dragon Skull is the result of our annual Facebook Creature Competition. Thank you Elizabeth Lumley - our 2020 winner, for sharing your awesome idea. This mask represents a hybrid low/no poly design. Steve took the best bits of both techniques and designed a skull that is super fun to build. If you wish to be the ultimate Dragon Master, why not add some FEATHERS OF HERAKON to your build? These magic feathers will enable you access to the great fire dance of the Fleshless Forest.

Josephine saw a new world before her, illuminated by the flashes of lightning that punctuated the darkness. The pouring rain streamed from her fingertips, sizzling and cracking where it met webs of electricity that crawled over her skin. The world around her was the same, but new inhabitants swirled on the edge of vision in apparitional serpentine forms. A surge of power cracked the roof of the pavilion at the top of the hill and a booming rumble filled the sky as she looked up and saw him. Cloaked and menacing, The Enchanter stood with tattered cloth blowing in the wind while somehow clinging onto his form, his head in-cased in the skull of a man with the horns of a beast. As he raised his hands to the sky, an avalanche of horrors flowed down the hill. Josephine rose and kept rising into to the storm. The battle had just begun, or had it been all along?
