These masks are designed to be easily built by anyone, using local materials, removing the need for mass manufacturing or shipping and with the minimum environmental impact.
Use this file to make as many masks as you like for yourself but please don’t share or steal the templates as there was a lot of work involved in creating them. If you want to use them for any other reason then please get in touch.
The bear is arguably the largest animal in America, and this is the largest mask I’ve ever built, and the smallest. Since I have a large head, I scaled up to 104% when I printed. For my kid I did 80%. Plenty of room for adjustment with the headband instructions. Love this mask, Wintercroft!
Hi Marlon, Thank you for building our masks and sharing your experience. Awesome bear build! Let us know if we can help anytime and have fun on future masks. - Fletch
This mask was great fun to build. The Wintercroft masks are a delightful distraction from the Covid19 lockdown. The bear :bear: mask was my second make - the first a gorilla :gorilla: - in the space of a fortnight! I had originally bought the gorilla template about a year ago but hadn’t made the time to start it. I am yet to decorate the masks but have subsequently bought the fox  mask template (with wall mount) and made that too. The Fox mask review to follow soon. My makes aren’t perfectly done, I have large fingers plus I think my card is a little too thick so keeping the joins together whilst the glue (glue stick) adhered was tricky. Some of the joins show little gaps but they will be covered up when I decorate. My next purchase will be some half masks that I will practise methods of decoration prior to decorating the full masks.

Really pleased with this one, used it to create a polar bear
Hi Liz - Fletch from Wintercroft here. Thank you for sharing this awesome photo of your build. Hope you have fun building future masks and we'll always be here to help if you need us.
Fletch from Wintercroft here. Thank you for sharing the experience - great builds! Regarding the missing lines issue, if you download the latest version of the Adobe Reader App (available free on their website) and open your files using it, this should solve the problem. Also, the reason we leave the ears open is to cut down on build time and maintain the ease of construction. We recommend that you simply overlay some excess card over the visible template, or paint/colour over if you like. We hope you enjoy future builds and we'll always be here to help if you need us. - Fletch
