Polygon Face Mask

39 reviews

The Polygon Face Mask was made world famous when it appeared in both the hit series Homeland and on stage as part of Eurovision 2014 Winner and ‘Queen of Australia,’ Conchita Wurst’s stage show. This is a Half Mask that appears as if it is Full from the front.

Half Masks leave the back of a human head exposed and can be made in less time, using less materials than the Full Masks. All you need is a bit of ribbon or elastic for a headband and you’ll be ready to go for a quick and easy build. The Half Mask is a great option for first-time builders, kids or for when you need a Mask-on-the-go. We hope you enjoy the build as much as the finished Mask.

  • This unique Mask enables one to both blend in and stand out simultaneously by reducing the humanoid face into polygonal form, leaving everyone to wonder… ‘who is the person behind the Mask?’ It also makes for a great blank slate to custom decorate or personalise.

  • Simply print the templates on paper, stick them to card, cut them out, match the numbers and join the tabs together. The Mask is scaled to fit an adult but you can make children's masks by scaling down the templates when you print - check our FAQ page for details. The templates come with instructions for an internal head band that can be adjusted by moving the fixing points to get a snug fit. Some templates are supplied with component colour guides to help you create identifiable markings unique to the Mask.

    • Supplied as an instant access PDF that you can download and print on any home printer
    • Choose to build with tape or gluing tabs
    • Robust polygon construction to survive the wildest of parties
    • Ideal for festivals, parties, special events or simply for fun

These masks are designed to be easily built by anyone, using local materials, removing the need for mass manufacturing or shipping and with the minimum environmental impact.

  • They are supplied along with a set of instructions as a PDF that you download immediately and print on any home printer.
  • They are supplied plain white so that you can decorate the finished mask however you like.
  • You are buying the templates and instructions only. You will also need access to a printer, paper, card, tape, and scissors.
  • The masks are designed to be easy to build: you don't need to be some sort of arts and crafts wizard.

Use this file to make as many masks as you like for yourself but please don’t share or steal the templates as there was a lot of work involved in creating them. If you want to use them for any other reason then please get in touch.

    I used this mask for

I used this mask for a Creativity Workshop about our biggest fears and it received a lot of praise. The assembly was relatively simple once I actually sat down and read the instructions, and there were some minor bumps because of my cutting skills. I definitely would buy another mask from Wintercroft in the future. Keep up the good work!

    Beautifull mask

Beautifull mask, but not my head size.

Hi Frederic, I noticed your comment on our review section about the mask not fitting your head. I’m not sure if the completed mask was too bigger or too small, but either way it’s easy to print the template either larger or smaller. Scaling UP and making the masks bigger is possible although the masks are optimized for home printers – normally A4 or US letter size. Here’s the wording from our FAQ section – I hope it helps: https://wintercroft.com/pages/faq MASK SIZING Will your masks fit an adult? All of our masks are designed to comfortably fit an average adult. Steve designed the masks to go on his own head (he is 6’ 5” tall, with a head circumference of 62cm -ish) so if you're a regular-sized human, you should find the full head masks are quite roomy inside. Can I make the mask smaller so that it fits a child? Yes, you can easily scale down the masks in your printer settings when you print the templates. We found that printing at around 85% of the original size worked well for our 5 year old. Try 90% for a 10 year old? Remember though - no two kids' heads are the same size so be prepared to experiment. If you need more any more info, please write to: info@wintercroft.com Best regards, Rog www.wintercroft.com

    Hare Head Mask

My mask turned out really awesome. I didn't want to glue it so I taped it with two sided tape. It was a bit time consuming putting it together but completed it in 1 night. I spray painted it the next night and all the tape let go! The mask fell apart before my eyes. I guess the paint when sprayed is really cold and made the tape fail. I waited til it was dry and then just had to push all the pieces back together again. It amazingly went back together with no problems and stayed together. I won 1st prize for best costume at our staff christmas masquerade party. The only thing that was a drag was that no one could hear me talk so I took the chin pieces off the mask. I had so many people tell me it was amazing. they couldn't believe I made it. I have orders to make more of them for other people. Anyone could make one of these masks. I will be making more for sure. Thanks!
