Sensitive to temperature and fiery in temperament, the mighty Chihuahua’s bloodline can be traced back to the Great Pyramid of Cholula (also the name of Agent 3’s favourite hot sauce.) This Full Mask is rich in character and mutant canine charm.
Our Full Masks completely encase one human head and can be custom-fitted with the internal headband included in the template. Full Masks vary in build time and complexity, scroll down for further details. You will be amazed by the experience of watching your Mask come together as each component is joined. We hope you enjoy the build as much as the finished Mask.
Despite all their genetic flaws (or perhaps because of them) these bug-eyed little beasties have won the hearts of humans (much like their ancient Aztec owners, only in a metaphoric rather than literal sense). All joking aside, this Chihuahua Mask will have friends and neighbours envious of your perplexing ability to charm despite your many disproportional facial mutations.
Simply print the templates on paper, stick them to card, cut them out, match the numbers and join the tabs together. The Mask is scaled to fit an adult but you can make children's masks by scaling down the templates when you print - check our FAQ page for details. The templates come with instructions for an internal head band that can be adjusted by moving the fixing points to get a snug fit. Some templates are supplied with component colour guides to help you create identifiable markings unique to the Mask.
I printed the template and saved cereal boxes for this project to take on vacation to the ocean in case it rained...the weather was perfect but my 15 year old daughter enjoyed making it so much I had to remind her to go to the beach! In fact, she loved it so much she made two Chihuahua masks while we were there. This is our first, but definitely not the last Wintercroft mask we'll make! Thanks!
Hi Kim, Thanks for sharing these lovely photos. It sounds like the masks were a huge success with you daughter as well. Love to hear this! Let us know it we can help any time and have fun on future mask builds. All the best, Fletch www.wintercroft.com
I wanted to make a mouse mask so I used this one. It took me about 3 hours with the tabs (not 4) but I am experienced in crafts even though I have never made anything similar. 3 hours without painting and decoration. My only concern was that they are fragile and I tryed to reinforce the mask with painting it, also with PVA glue to become stronger.
The dog is more funny than impressive but it looks good
I love these masks!
