The facade of our favourite empathetic herbivore is a symbol of strength, family, longevity and wisdom. Break free from the circus of daily life, stomp with the herd or wander solo with this incredible Half Mask.
Half Masks leave the back of a human head exposed and can be made in less time, using less materials than the Full Masks. All you need is a bit of ribbon or elastic for a headband and you’ll be ready to go for a quick and easy build. The Half Mask is a great option for first-time builders, kids or for when you need a Mask-on-the-go. We hope you enjoy the build as much as the finished Mask.
The elephant never forgets a face and your party is sure to be a memorable one when you roam free with a low poly proboscis. Elephantine good times await the wearer.
Simply print the templates on paper, stick them to card, cut them out, match the numbers and join the tabs together. The Mask is scaled to fit an adult but you can make children's masks by scaling down the templates when you print - check our FAQ page for details. The templates come with instructions for an internal head band that can be adjusted by moving the fixing points to get a snug fit. Some templates are supplied with component colour guides to help you create identifiable markings unique to the Mask.
Very clear instructions how to construct the mask. The template is 100% precise and if you do it carefully, you will get a great result. I used a solid metal ruler (heavier and more stable on the card) and a Stanley Knife scalpel (blade 11a) to do the cutting, then the non-sharp back of scalpel blade to the scoring.
My daughter assembled this first mask for me. It turned out, that it isn’t easy to glue everything together. Especially the paper cutouts were difficult holding to the thicker carton in some areas. The design is very good and I am gonna enhance this for my costume. Uploading pictures when ready..
Hi Mark, Thank you for building our masks and sharing your experience. Sorry to hear about the adhesive issue. We tend to use 3M double-sided tape to join the tabs. Glue dots also work a treat for a faster, more robust build. I hope this helps and please don;t hesitate to get in touch if you ever need us. Have a lovely holiday season! All the best, Fletch
Easy to assemble, looks impressive
My mother loves elephants and I couldn’t let her go to work on Halloween without a mask or costume. I painted it an awesome pink and she went with a toy mouse. A little tribute to dumbo.
