These plans enable you to become the world’s most famous petite and headstrong hound. The Beagle is a cunning creature that is most content when sniffing out a secret stash or small burrowing animal. The Beagle Mask is a Full Mask.
Our Full Masks completely encase one human head and can be custom-fitted with the internal headband included in the template. This iconic detection dog can hear a mouse cough from a mile away with its big floppy ears. The beastly bugle-like bay of a hungry Beagle strikes fear into the hearts of men, hopping Hares and woodland furry folk alike.
Simply print the templates on paper, stick them to card, cut them out, match the numbers and join the tabs together. The Mask is scaled to fit an adult but you can make children's masks by scaling down the templates when you print - check our FAQ page for details. The templates come with instructions for an internal headband that can be adjusted by moving the fixing points to get a snug fit. Some templates are supplied with component colour guides to help you create identifiable markings unique to the Mask.
Had a great time putting this together. Used Brown card stock from Michael's Craft store to make the mask. Used it for my Scruff McGruff costume for a 80s/90s themed birthday. Totally won the costume contest thanks to the mask!
I'm into bookmaking, origami, popup books, and own several Paul Jackson paper craft books. I have recently stumbled upon this site and am ecstatic about the masks here. Such a brilliant idea! The method of printing and pasting on cereal box works very well. The labelling and instructions are clear, self explanatory, and unambiguous. I love that you can make the masks using common tools and materials at home. Here is the Dogman costume I made for my 7 year old child's World Book Day at school. I made it in actual adult size as I thought the oversized head would look good. I used cereal boxes (about 4-5 of them), and painted over with acrylic paint. I used UHU stick for the paper, and double sided tape for the tabs. I sewed the nose (made of old sock) to the cereal box using thread and needle. The mask was pretty hardy, and survived a day in school, with only a minor tear. It was hard physical work cutting, scoring, folding and assembling the large number of thick cardboard pieces, but very rewarding. I spent 2 evenings making this. There was definitely a 'magical' moment, seeing the mask come together. Things I would do differently if making this again: I would tape the tabs inside rather than outside, as I find them visually noisy. The mask would have looked even better with just clean geometric planes. Can't wait to try the medusa mask! PS: I do wish I could feed the design directly to my Cricut! But that's probably too lazy..
Amazing design! Wore the mask for a Dog themed New Years Party! Everyone asked how I made it, was compliment all night.
