These plans enable you turn recycled card into a 3D Low Polygon Explorer Mask. I designed this retro-futuristic mask specifically for the Maroochy Festival following my take on 2016's exploration theme. This design was informed by the beautiful, clean-lined mechanical aesthetic of retro robots from the days of the silver screen. Like those iconic living machines from the 50s' and 60s', the Explorer mask exhibits a cold beauty that is both striking and magnetic. This particular model has been optimised for in-obstructive intake of essential party fuels that provide the energy needed to celebrate the inhuman condition. Suit-up and set out on your own explorations today...

Just print the templates on paper, stick them to card, cut them out, match the numbers and join the parts together. The Mask is scaled to fit an adult but you can make children's masks by scaling down the templates when you print - check our FAQ page for details.

The templates are supplied along with a set of instructions as a PDF that you download immediately and print on any home printer.They are supplied plain white so that you can decorate the finished mask however you like.You are buying the templates and instructions only. You will also need access to a printer, paper, card, tape, and scissors.The masks are designed to be easy to build: you don't need to be some sort of arts and crafts wizard.

Use this file to make as many masks as you like for yourself but please don’t share or steal the templates as there was a lot of work involved in creating them. If you want to use them for any other reason then please get in touch.

First time I ever done anything like this, it came out very good! I used watercolor paper to make it into a art project :D

Excellent first mask...dip your toes in the water with this one!

I've made two of these now, one at regular size (which my son wore for Halloween) and one at 110% size to fit my XL melon. This is a four-piece mask that only covers the face and has an open mouth area, so it's good for learning how the Wintercroft system works and what you can do to make it work best for you. In my case, these fit closely to the face and I found that wraparound safety glasses provided just the right amount of space to sit comfortably and look cool. I'm looking forward to trying another style, but I highly recommend the Explorer.
